The Barelang Bridges

Already we know that Landmark Batam is Barelang bridge. Logo Visit Batam in 2010 also made the Barelang Bridge as Icon.

Did you that the 6 bridges connecting the islands have names that actually? ...

Did you Barelang that the bridge was built in 1992 on the initiative of Mr. BJ Habibie, who then served as Minister of Research and Technology. Did you swallow the bridge Barelang around 400 billion and completed in 1998. Barelang bridge was originally known as the bridge Habibie. Because the bridge-bridge connects the island Batam, Rempang and the bridges more well known as Barelang (abbreviation of Batam Rempang & gaLang).

Did you, the overall total Barelang bridge is approximately 2264 Meters, with the details about 642m bridge 1, bridge 420meter around 2, 3 bridges around 270 meters, the bridge about 365 meters 4, 5 bridges around 365 meters and about 180 bridges 6 meters.

When Mr. Ismet Abdullah as the head of the Batam Authority the names of the bridges are named Barelang the kings wilt Riau.

Bridge #1 as Tengku Fisabillilah, Connecting Batam and Tonton Islands

Bridge #2 as Nara Singa, Connecting Tonton and Nipah Islands

Bridge #3 as Raja Ali Haji, Connecting Nipah and Setokok islands

Bridge #4 as Sultan Zainal Arifin, Connecting Setokok and Rempang islands

Bridge #5 as Tuanku Tambusai, Connecting Rempang and Galang islands

The last Bridge #6 as Raja Kecik, Connecting Galang and Galang baru islands

Perhaps the lack of socialization, or kings names designation is a difficult name so the six bridges is still known as the BRIDGE Barelang, ....

And you know, how that name is embedded in community, especially the heart Batam. And more importantly you know how we treat and preserve the cultural and tourism city of Batam object ..?
